SpotDraft does not print a price. There is one number with signed contracts behind it, a handful of estimates that do not agree with it, and an AI add-in whose cost nobody publishes. Here is what each figure is worth, and what a legal team of five to twenty should expect to pay.
This page is about SpotDraft, the contract lifecycle platform, and VerifAI, its AI review add-in for Microsoft Word. Figures are labeled as published by the vendor or reported by a named third party. None of it is a quote.

SpotDraft is quote-only. The best public figure is Vendr's median of $25,278 a year, drawn from contracts buyers actually signed, with observed deals running from $8,280 to $30,307. SpotDraft prices on either users or contract volume and says implementation is included. Larger tier bands of $35,000 to $120,000 or more circulate, but they are estimates that sit above every observed contract. VerifAI, the Word add-in, has a two-week free trial and no published price.
Medians and averages from signed contracts where they exist, published list prices where a vendor prints one. The bars are to scale. SpotDraft sits at the cheap end of quote-only contract management, and still roughly twenty times a published review plan.
We read spotdraft.com/pricing, the VerifAI product page and the VerifAI listing in the Microsoft marketplace on September 28, 2026. The pricing page has no figure and no plan names. It does commit to four things in writing, and they are worth holding the sales team to.
"Price based on either users or contract volume." A small team handling many agreements should ask for user pricing, and a company where many people touch few contracts for volume pricing.
Workflow setup, integrations and migration of legacy contracts, "no extra fees, no outsourcing." Get the included scope written into the order form.
A dedicated customer success manager and 24/7 support for every customer, which several rivals sell as a premium add-on.
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 on the pricing page; ISO 27001, SOC 2 and GDPR listed on the VerifAI page, with documents through a trust center.
| Question | What SpotDraft states |
|---|---|
| Is there a price on the pricing page? | No. Every "Get Pricing" button leads to a personalized demo request. |
| Is there a free trial? | Not for the platform. The standalone VerifAI add-in for Word lists "Free for the first two weeks" and does not require a SpotDraft account. |
| What does the platform include? | Templates, contract editor, eSignatures, workflows, a repository that extracts over 1,000 metadata types, reporting and analytics, clickwrap, intake, VerifAI, and 30+ integrations. |
| How big is the company? | A $54 million Series B in February 2025 led by Vertex Growth and Trident Growth Partners, followed by an $8 million extension from Qualcomm Ventures in January 2026 for on-device AI. |
The figures in circulation as of September 28, 2026. The confidence column is our judgment of what stands behind each one. Only the first row comes from contracts that were actually signed.
| Reported figure | What it covers | Source | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25,278 a year median | Observed contracts from $8,280 to $30,307, not banded by seat count | Vendr marketplace, updated February 2026; also cited by Bind Legal in 2026 | High, signed contracts |
| $15,000 to $25,000 a year | "Essentials" entry tier for small teams | Vendr pricing guide text, February 2026 | Medium |
| $15,000 to $35,000 a year | 5 to 15 users, under 500 contracts a year | Vendr pricing guide text, February 2026 | Medium |
| $35,000 to $65,000 a year | "Professional," 15 to 25 users, 500 to 1,000 contracts a year | Vendr pricing guide text, February 2026, repeated in search summaries | Low, above every observed deal |
| $65,000 to $120,000+ a year | "Enterprise," 30+ users; larger deployments said to pass $150,000 | Vendr pricing guide text, February 2026 | Low, above every observed deal |
| About $10,000 a year to start | Entry point with per-seat licensing | Search summaries of rival CLM guides, 2026; Bind Legal headline "$10K to $50K a year" | Medium, matches the observed low |
| $5,000 to $25,000+ implementation | One-time onboarding | Vendr pricing guide text, February 2026 | Low, the vendor says it is included |
| 3 to 7 percent a year | Renewal price increases | Vendr pricing guide text, February 2026 | Medium, typical for CLM |
| No VerifAI price | SpotDraft does not say which plans include VerifAI or what it costs separately | Bind Legal, 2026; confirmed on the vendor's pages September 28, 2026 | High, as a statement of what is known |
Vendr publishes two different kinds of SpotDraft number on the same page. The first is purchasing data: a median of $25,278 and a range of $8,280 to $30,307 from contracts its clients signed. The second is a written guide with tier bands, where "Professional" costs $35,000 to $65,000 and "Enterprise" $65,000 to $120,000 or more.
Put them next to each other and the problem is plain. The most expensive SpotDraft contract Vendr observed, $30,307, is lower than the cheapest Professional deal the guide describes. Either the observed sample holds no mid-market or enterprise buyers, or the bands were written from a general CLM template rather than from SpotDraft deals. Both readings lead to the same budgeting rule.
For a team of five to twenty that is not buying enterprise scale, anchor on the observed range and treat anything above $30,000 in a first proposal as a number to push back on. The second contradiction runs the same way: SpotDraft says implementation is included, and the $5,000 to $25,000 implementation line in the guide is not something you should accept on the order form without a written reason.
Scale runs from $0 to $120,000 a year. Green is signed-contract data, red is written estimate.
VerifAI is SpotDraft's AI contract review tool. It runs as an add-in inside Microsoft Word, checks a draft or a counterparty's paper against your playbook, suggests redlines and answers questions about the agreement. SpotDraft sells it two ways: inside the platform, and as a standalone add-in that anyone can install, with a two-week free trial and no SpotDraft account required.
What you will not find is a price for either route. SpotDraft does not say which platform plans include VerifAI, and the standalone listing stops at the free trial. That matters because for many legal teams VerifAI is the reason SpotDraft made the shortlist. If it turns out to be an add-on, it can be a large part of the real bill and invisible in the headline figure. Ask for it on its own line.
It is also worth asking whether you need the platform at all. If the job is reading incoming agreements for risky clauses and missing terms, and not routing, signing and storing your own templates, then you are shopping for a review tool, and review tools can be priced by the month. That is the job the AI contract review software at the top of this page does, at a published $99 a month.
| VerifAI (SpotDraft) | LegalSoul | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | Microsoft Word add-in, desktop and web | Web browser, no install and no Word add-in |
| Published price | None | $99 a month for 100 reviews, $299 for 500 |
| How to try it | Two-week free trial of the add-in | One review at the top of this page with no account, then a short demo tier |
| What it reads | Word documents, against your playbook, with suggested redlines | PDF, Word, text and images: contracts, leases, briefs and exhibits, with issues, risky clauses, missing terms and page cites |
| Security documentation | ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR | Encryption in transit and at rest; no SOC 2 report and no SAML single sign-on |
| Best for | Teams that negotiate in Word against a fixed playbook, especially inside SpotDraft | Teams and firms that need an agreement read for risk today, at a known monthly cost |
Built from the observed Vendr range, with implementation at zero because the vendor says it is included, and a renewal escalator applied in year two. Low column uses the observed low, high column the observed high.
| Line item | Low | Median | High observed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Subscription, year one | $8,280 | $25,278 | $30,307 |
| Implementation | $0, included | $0, included | $0, included |
| Year two at a 5 percent escalator | $8,694 | $26,542 | $31,822 |
| Two-year total | $16,974 | $51,820 | $62,129 |
| LegalSoul, for comparison | $2,376 over two years on Solo | $7,176 over two years on Professional | Monthly plans cancel any time |
The LegalSoul row is not like-for-like, and it is there on purpose. SpotDraft routes approvals, generates contracts from templates, collects signatures and stores everything in a searchable repository. If your business teams need to self-serve on NDAs and order forms, that is worth paying for. If the actual pain is that every inbound agreement waits for a lawyer to read it, the gap between the rows is the price of features you will not use.
SpotDraft usually shares a shortlist with Ironclad and Juro. The column that sorts the list fastest is how much anyone outside the vendor can tell you about cost.
| Tool | Published price | Best public cost figure | Priced on |
|---|---|---|---|
| SpotDraft | None | Median $25,278, observed $8,280 to $30,307 (Vendr) | Users or contract volume, your choice |
| Ironclad | None | $40,109 average across 213 tracked deals (Vendr) | Contract volume and modules |
| Juro | None, a price estimator form | Median $31,164, observed $11,976 to $132,339 (Vendr) | Contract volume and integrations, unlimited users |
| Concord | Yes | $499 a month with 5 users, $49 per extra user, billed annually | Users |
| Leah (ContractPodAi) | None | Reported floor near $50,000; no public purchasing data | Configured platform and modules |
| LegalSoul | Yes | $99 a month for 100 reviews, $299 for 500 | Reviews per month, no seat minimum |
We are the narrowest tool in that table. LegalSoul does not route approvals, hold a repository or collect signatures, and we do not have a SOC 2 report or SAML single sign-on. If those are requirements, SpotDraft is a reasonable buy and usually cheaper than Ironclad; our Ironclad pricing breakdown has the numbers for that comparison, and the Juro alternatives for small legal teams guide covers the third name on most shortlists.
The right-hand column is the job LegalSoul is built for. Upload one agreement to the tool at the top of this page and within a minute you will see whether a review tool covers your problem.
The observed Vendr range gives you a benchmark most CLM buyers do not have. These questions make sure the proposal is built on the same basis.
Can you quote us on both meters, users and contract volume, so we can pick the cheaper one?
Is VerifAI included in this plan, and if not, what does it cost as its own line?
What exactly does "implementation included" cover, and what would trigger a services fee?
What happens to the price if our contract volume grows mid-term?
Will you cap the renewal increase in writing, and at what percentage?
Which of the 30+ integrations are in the base price and which are add-ons?
Why is this quote above $30,307, the highest SpotDraft contract Vendr has observed?
SpotDraft publishes no price. The only figure drawn from signed contracts is Vendr's marketplace data: a median of $25,278 a year, with observed contracts from $8,280 to $30,307. Larger tier bands of $35,000 to $120,000 or more also circulate, but they are written estimates and sit above every observed contract.
Not for the contract lifecycle platform, which is sold through a personalized demo. The standalone VerifAI add-in for Microsoft Word is different: SpotDraft and its Microsoft marketplace listing describe a two-week free trial, and you do not need to be a SpotDraft customer to install it.
SpotDraft does not publish a VerifAI price and does not say which platform plans include it. The standalone Word add-in starts with a two-week free trial. If VerifAI is the reason SpotDraft is on your shortlist, ask for it as its own line item so you can see what it adds.
Not necessarily. SpotDraft states that it prices on either users or contract volume. A small legal team that handles many agreements should ask for user pricing; a company where many people touch a few contracts should ask for volume pricing. Get both quotes and compare.
SpotDraft says in-house implementation is always included, covering workflow setup, integrations and migration of legacy contracts, with no extra fees. Some third-party guides still list $5,000 to $25,000 for implementation. Get the included scope written into the order form.
Usually. Vendr's median for SpotDraft is $25,278 a year against an average of $40,109 for Ironclad across 213 tracked deals. For a mid-market team of about 25 users and 1,000 contracts, Vendr estimates SpotDraft at $50,000 to $70,000 and Ironclad at $70,000 to $110,000.
Yes. SpotDraft describes itself as ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified on its pricing page, and its VerifAI page lists ISO 27001, SOC 2 and GDPR. Security documentation is provided through its trust center, which is normal for vendors selling to in-house legal and procurement teams.
For contract lifecycle management the usual shortlist is Ironclad, Juro, Concord, Leah (formerly ContractPodAi) and Docusign CLM. For AI contract review inside Word, it is Spellbook. For a team that only needs agreements read for risk, a document review tool such as LegalSoul from $99 a month is the closer fit, with no annual commitment.
Upload one contract, lease or brief and get the issues, risky clauses and page cites in under a minute. Plans are published from $99 a month, with no seat minimum and no sales call.
